Nicholas Koehler, MD

Dr. Nicholas Koehler is a native Floridian graduating from the University of South Florida in 2000. He completed medical school at Ross University School of Medicine in 2005 and then continued his training in anesthesiology at Mount Siani School of Medicine in Paterson, New Jersey. He completed his ACGME accredited fellowship at the University of South Florida (USF). In 2014.
 
Dr. Koehler is triple board certified in anesthesiology, interventional pain management, and substance abuse and addiction. Dr. Koehler focuses his approach to treating painful conditions on the person as a whole in order to relieve pain, restore function and
renew hope. His treatments consist of medication management, physical therapy, injections under fluoroscopy as well as ultrasound-guided procedures. These procedures include spinal cord stimulators, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, headache, and facial pain management as well as modalities focusing on all parts of the body.
 
Dr. Koehler has presented at meetings and conferences to teach other physicians as well as teaching residents and fellows in interventional pain in his role as an assistant professor at the University of South Florida. He has extensive clinical experience and a knowledge base drawn from his practice at Tampa General Hospital, James Haley Veterans Administration as well as his clinic-based practice.
 
In order to assist his patients with the most comfortable experience possible, Dr. Koehler offers office-based procedures as well as hospital-based procedures.
